The Nottingham Arts & Crafts Fair is here at Brookfields from Friday 11th April to Sunday 13th and open each day from 10.30 to 4.30. Local crafts people and artists will be presenting their work with many inspirational gifts available to purchase. We are delighted to welcome them all and hope that you will enjoy browsing the stalls, many of which are under cover. All the benefits of shopping at Brookfields, with our newly extended coffee shop, free parking plus some really exciting stalls which include:

We have lots of activities during the school holidays so why not come along and join in.

8th April

Paint a wooden  bird nesting box. Only £3 per child with all materials provided. Places are limited so book your place  in store at our customer services desk. All proceeds are donated to our adopted Charities.

10th April

Make a Cress head; have fun with some soil and seeds! Only £1 per session with all proceeds donated to our adopted charities. No booking required but subject to available space

One of the most spectacular spring flowering shrubs, Rhododendrons have flowers in many beautiful colours in spring and shade loving foliage all year round.

We stock sizes from very small to large shrubs to suit any size of garden.

Book your places for the Bird House Painting Activity during the spring school holidays on Tuesday 8th April. Places are limited so make sure you come into the centre and book as soon as you can; just visit customer services to pay for and collect your tickets. At only £3 per child the activity is open to all children 2 years and over with all proceeds being donated to our adopted charities. All materials are provided except overalls. We recommend not best party clothes- it may get messy!

Don’t forget the children’s Garden design competition closes on Friday 28th so make sure your entries arrive in store in plenty of time. The competition is open for 2 age groups 8 and under then 9-12 years. The design should be for the entrant’s perfect garden with the prize being a selection of products to help make their garden grow. The winner will be announced on the 8th March.

Another reminder for those wanting to treat Mum, come along on Mother’s Day this Sunday 30th March and we will treat her to a dessert when you buy her a main course lunch!

Children’s Garden design competition launched!

Open to children in 2 age groups 8 and under and 9-12 years We would like to see designs for Your Perfect Garden. What you would like to grow, how you would like to use your garden, with things you would like to do. Use your imagination to create something that would be the perfect space for you and your family & friends.

The prize will be some of the products you may want to include in your garden. Entry forms are available at customer services and to download on the News & Events page of the website. Entries must be handed in to customer services by March 28th with the winners...

These fully hardy plants provide excellent flower colour from early spring and right into summer; not easily damaged by late spring frosts they can be planted right now. Many different shades and colours are available to suit any planting scheme and they grow happily in hanging baskets, planters and boarders
